Customer Shout Out: Senior Gardener with Fresh Style

Another great installation for another great customer! Robert met us at a farmers market and signed up for a free consultation where he ordered four large raised beds for his North Phoenix backyard. At age 90, he says he doesn't have the energy and desire to deal with the tough Arizona soil, but he definitely had plenty of energy to discuss all of his planting ideas. The raised beds allow him to import his own custom soil and keep his different plots organized. His new garden includes three 4' x 10' raised beds. One advantage of the raised beds is that he can reach plants and soil more easily without stressing his back. He is already growing cucumbers, asparagus and a variety of other mixed greens and vegetables. Here are some pictures of the gardens, along with an update we added a few months into the season!

And here is a mid-season update showing how Robert has added a shade/netting system and is successfully growing large amounts of vegetables! He has a total of 8 beds.
