Organic Vegetables at Scottsdale Farmers Market

Have you been to the Old Town Farmers Market? You should go! We went on Saturday to get breakfast and set up our own tent. What we found was a remarkable community of high-quality organic food vendors and local craftsmen. Best of all, the heat is broken by tent shades and an early morning schedule! There are several contenders for best produce/products, but our favorites were Maya's Farm (all kinds of fresh organic vegetables and herbs grown at The Farm at South Mountain), the organic honey people and the empanada stand where we got our breakfast burritos. The market is located on the corner of Brown Ave and 1st Street in Old Town Scottsdale. We met many people interested in getting their own raised beds and in-ground gardens ready for the fall season!
